A bit about you:
Whilst I've been raving and skanking since I was 18, I first started mixing in 2019 after my stepdad gave me his old CDJs and I've been in love ever since!
Drum and Bass has played massive part in my life and djing has been a massive outlet where I can let all that crazy energy out.
Playing with Hivemind and Neurosystem and shining a spotlight on the darker side of DnB has a highlight.
Remember, No Neuro No Party.
What is your favourite song at the moment?
Oof, that's a hard one especially at the moment but I've probably got to say The Torrent - Nemean (Redpill remix). Started most of my days with this one recently.
What is your favourite set that you have seen live?
Probably going to have to be a toss up between Black Sun Empire B2B State of Mind at Korsakov 2023 or Noisia at WHP on their farewell tour, absolute scenes!
Which artist have you got an eye on at the minute?
For me at the moment it has to be Absu_NTQL!
Guy is a neurofunk powerhouse, I can't remember the last time I had a mix without slamming some of his tunes.
What ignited your love for electronic music?
One of my core memories is listening to The Prodigy and old school happy hardcore with my mum on the way to school! I think from there I always knew I loved high energy electronic music but it was when I reached like 17/18 that I really started to fall head over heels for DnB and it's been an obsession ever since.
Any location, fictional or not, where would you most want to play a set?
If we are going fictional then you know I'm gonna drop the filthiest of neuro sets on top of Minas Tirith!
Real world, I know it unrealistic but you said anywhere! Let me throw a block party at Shibuya Crossing.
What are your plans for the not so distant future?
Alongside the upcoming Mind The Bass collab between Hive Mind and The Basstrix, I have been sitting of a few dubs that need to see the light of day, they are nearly there, I just need to get the final tweaks done. Keep your eyes pealed for the first Hive Mind releases to drop
Do you have any advice for upcoming artists in the scene?
Artists who bring every part of themselves to a set are usually the ones that people don't forget! A motto I will die by is that if it looks like the DJ/artist is having a good time on stage, I guarantee you the crowd are too!
If you bring every part of you and what you love doing, people will catch that energy and vibe, why do you think I'm sending just as much behind the decks as I do on the dancefloor!
